Students at the University of Ilorin will resume academic activities on October 24, 2022, following the end of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU’s, prolonged strike.
According to a statement issued by the university’s Director of Corporate Affairs, Mr Kunle Akogun, in Ilorin, the decision came after the University Senate ratified the amended academic calendar at its 291st meeting on Friday, October 21, 2022.
According to the revised calendar, final year and postgraduate students should return to campus on Monday, October 24, 2022.
Other returning student categories will resume on December 15th, when the 2021/2022 academic session begins.
Students in the faculties of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine, who had yet to complete their rain semester examinations before the strike began on February 14, 2022, are expected to resume on October 24th to complete such examinations, according to the statement.
