Ugandan-born model Eva Apio has publicly denied ever being in a relationship with Nigerian music sensation Asake.
Taking to her X (formerly Twitter) page, Eva responded to a viral tweet suggesting that the two had dated, firmly stating that the claim was false.
The dating rumors had been fueled by repeated public appearances and photos of the two together, which led many fans to assume they were romantically involved. A user, @DavoAntho11623, shared a picture of them and captioned it:
“Asake and his Girlfriend (Eva Apio).”
However, Eva promptly responded, saying:
“I was never his girlfriend.”
Her clarification sparked a wave of online reactions:
