Nollywood actress Uche Montana became emotional after receiving a nomination for Best Lead Actress at the 11th Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA).
She earned the recognition for her performance in Thin Line and will be competing against Chioma Chukwuka (Seven Doors), Gbubemi Ejeye (Farmer’s Bride), Uzoamaka Onuoha (Agemo), Uzoamaka Aniunoh (Phoenix Fury), Hilda Dokubo (Wives on Strike 3), and Bimbo Ademoye (Anikulapo: Rise of the Spectre) in a fiercely contested category.
In response to the nomination, Uche Montana shared a heartfelt video on her Instagram story, visibly overwhelmed with joy. Shouting excitedly, she expressed her disbelief at the honor.
“I can’t believe it; Best Actress AMVCA 2025!” she wrote alongside the video.
