U.S. authorities have taken into custody a suspect linked to the fatal shooting of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
According to NBC News, which cited five senior law enforcement sources, the suspect has been identified as 21-year-old Tyler Robinson from Utah.
Kirk was shot in the neck on Tuesday while participating in a debate at Utah Valley University, NAIJALOG reported. Officials stated that the gunman fired a single shot from a rooftop in what they described as a deliberate assassination.
President Donald Trump confirmed the arrest in an interview with Fox News, noting that investigators moved forward “with a high degree of certainty” in apprehending Robinson. He also commended the coordinated efforts of local law enforcement and state authorities in handling the case.
