Two killed as SSS battle Boko Haram in Maiduguri

Two persons were feared dead in Borno Express Central Motor Park, located beside the State Security Service (SSS) office, along Kano- Jos Road, Maiduguri, Borno State capital, yesterday in a fire exchange between SSS officials and some suspected terrorists.

The gun battled we learnt, claimed killed a grasshopper seller and one security officer in the area.

Report says that some of the suspects have since been arrested.

In a similar development, two persons suspected to be members of the Boko Haram sect were arrested in an abandoned building in Bulunbutu- Abuja area of Maiduguri. As a result of the arrest, the hideout was completely raided by the JTF officials.

It was gathered that the operation led to the killing of a civilian who was shot.

According to a reliable source, two AK47 rifles were found in the possession of the arrested suspects

As at the time of filling this report, the JTF spokesman, Lt. Col. Sagir Musa, was yet to make any official statement.
