Donald Trump has unleashed new attacks on Democratic rival Hillary Clinton and blasted her husband Bill’s “terrible record” with women.
Trump hit out at the Clinton’s days before Bill Clinton is scheduled to hit the road to campaign for his wife, in an interview on NBC Today, targeting the former president’s past sexual misconduct and his controversial comments during the 2008 Democratic nomination fight.
“You look at whether it’s Monica Lewinsky or Paula Jones or many of them, that certainly will be fair game. Certainly if they play the woman’s card with respect to me, that will be fair game.”
In another post on Twitter, Trump said: “If Hillary thinks she can unleash her husband, with his terrible record of women abuse, while playing the women’s card on me, she’s wrong!”
Bill Clinton is scheduled to make his first campaign appearance of 2016 in New Hampshire next week.
The news of the former president’s planned stops prompted a late-night tweet from Trump.
