U.S. President Donald Trump has sparked intense debate online after admitting that he’s unsure about his chances of entering heaven.
The unexpected confession came during a conversation aboard Air Force One, where Trump was asked about his previous statement on ending the Gaza war “for the sake of heaven.”
Trump’s honest confession
In a surprisingly candid moment, Trump said, “I don’t think there’s anything that’s going to get me into heaven. I think I’m not heaven bound. I’m not sure I’m going to be able make heaven.”
The remark, which many viewed as an unusually personal and reflective comment from the former U.S. leader, quickly spread across social media. Some saw it as a rare display of humility, while others described it as controversial self-judgment.
Nigerians react on social media
Trump’s statement stirred reactions among Nigerians online, with users expressing mixed opinions about his honesty and faith.
Adebanjo wrote: “Honesty at its rawest form. Most politicians claim holiness, Trump just confessed humanity. Maybe that’s his first ticket to heaven.”
Defibns added: “A man that walks in reality…. not our Nigeria politicians, they go still believe say them go enter heaven 😂…”
Adegbite commented: “If he’s not heaven-bound, then he’s hell bound and there will be more lively for him cos he’ll meet the top top politicians there 😂.”
The Ceaser stated: “The admittance is a holy act itself. So, his honesty is better than that of Nigerian politicians who dance and sing in churches, while thinking their donations will make excuse for their rugged living at heavensgate.”
Chiamaka shared: “True because the man is full of tricks, he doesn’t keep to his true word he does business with people and discard them. I mean there are so many facts. Should I go on and on and on about this man? So at the end of the day, he knows himself more than any other person and he’s just saying his truth. He just been truthful and for the first time I’ll be agreeing with him on this note.”
The video of Trump’s confession has since gone viral, continuing to spark conversations about faith, honesty, and leadership among global audiences.
