Donald Trump reportedly reacted with laughter during an intelligence briefing about allegations involving Mojtaba Khamenei, according to a report by the New York Post.
The report states that Trump was informed by intelligence officials about personal claims related to Mojtaba Khamenei’s private life. During the discussion, the former U.S. president was said to have reacted with both surprise and amusement.
According to the publication, Trump was also briefed that Mojtaba’s father, Ali Khamenei, who was reportedly killed in a missile strike at the early stage of the Iran war, had expressed reservations about his son eventually taking over leadership.
The report further claimed that others present during the intelligence meeting had strong reactions to the information being shared.
One senior intelligence official reportedly said they “had not stopped laughing about it for days,” while other attendees allegedly described the details as “hilarious.”
Mojtaba Khamenei was reported to have taken over as Iran’s supreme leader following his father’s death last week.
The article also referenced claims that Mojtaba had been involved in a long-term relationship with a childhood tutor and allegedly made advances toward male caregivers. However, these allegations have not been independently confirmed.
So far, officials from the White House have not issued any public response to the report.
