Buchi Laba, a close associate of Nigerian footballer Victor Osimhen, has debunked rumors linking the Super Eagles striker with a January transfer to Manchester United.
Osimhen, currently on loan at Galatasaray, has been in stellar form this season, scoring 12 goals and providing five assists in just 15 appearances across all competitions. His performances have solidified his reputation as one of Europe’s top talents.
However, speculation about a potential move to Manchester United has been categorically denied.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Laba clarified:
“This report is 100% false. Victor Osimhen has no agent or representative. He has officially parted ways with him.”
Osimhen reportedly severed ties with his former agent, Roberto Calenda, following a failed transfer move from Napoli last summer. Laba further explained:
“He works directly with his lawyer now. There was no contact made with Victor, Napoli, or Galatasaray. No discussion whatsoever.”
The clarification comes amid growing interest in the 25-year-old, whose form has attracted attention from top European clubs. Despite the rumors, Osimhen remains focused on his current stint with Galatasaray.
