Nigerian comedian and skitmaker, Sanku, has tragically died in a car crash along Ogbomoso Road, Oyo State.
The sad news was confirmed on Monday by actor Yemi Elesho through his official Facebook page, sparking an outpouring of grief across social media.
In an eerie twist, just days earlier on August 4, Sanku had shared a skit where he playfully portrayed himself in heaven after death. In the clip, he jokingly complained about the absence of certain people and teased his partner to join him in hell so they could continue enjoying life together.
Fans and Nollywood stars have since flooded social media with emotional tributes to the late comedian.
Actress Funmi Awelewa, in a touching post, wrote: “The pain, the effort, the strength, the struggle… walai nothing make sense. I’m heartbroken. Even film sef never come out! It does not make sense.”
Reports further revealed that Sanku and another individual sustained severe injuries in the accident, but sadly, the comedian did not survive.
