Fernando Torres struck on debut for AC Milan in their 2-2 draw withEmpoli.
Torres, on-loan from Chelsea, helped Milan earn a point after going 2-0 down last night.
The Rossoneri went 2-0 down after 21 minutes at the Castellani Stadium, but strikes from Torres and Keisuke Honda levelled the game.
“I am very happy with my first goal, but the victory would’ve been more important,” he told Sky Sport Italia.
“When you face a side like Empoli that play with the heart, it is always difficult, but we had a good reaction and did better in the second half.
“My personal objectives and the team objectives are the same thing: qualifying for Europe. I’ll take it one game at a time and try to improve.
“It is always easy to play alongside great players.”
Torres was asked about his first impact with Serie A.
“I already knew Italian football, having faced many of their sides in the Champions League and at international level, so I knew it was a very physical approach.”
