Yemi Ayebo, a seasoned Yoruba actor and musician better known by his stage name Yemi My Lover, is trending on social media thanks to a video in which he criticizes gospel singer Tope Alabi for ignoring her after becoming famous.
Yemi said Tope Alabi trained under him in the 1990s film business but did not help him in a popular video.
The actor also recalled his attempts to contact the gospel performer when he wanted to celebrate his birthday the previous year.
He said that neither Tope Alabi nor his birthday presents were sent to him.
He said:
“I personally took the invitation letter to her office but she neither came nor send any gift to me. She didn’t even wish me a happy birthday but I am not mad, that is her way of life. Some of these gospel singers have worse character than regular people.”
