Think women are more health conscious than men?
Think again! Experts list five things that women should learn from men, which will actually be great for their health.
– Participate in a sport. For some reason, men take part in more sports activities than women. Group sports, especially are not only great for team spirit but do wonders for your health. Regularly playing sports is said to improve bone mass, density, posture and muscle strength.
– Never go on extreme diets. Women, far more conscious about their figures, tend to go on fad diets way more often than men. And a study has said that while 30% of men diet, for women it is a whopping 70%. Going on unreliable diets actually slow down your metabolism and one tends to gain weight easily.
– Take a leaf out of your man’s habits and stop lugging around a heavy handbag. Men tend to carry only essentials — wallet, keys, handkerchief. And while experts don’t tell you to do the same, at least don’t walk around carrying a heavy handbag stuffed with unwanted things. You’ll save yourself from backaches, neck and shoulder ache.
– You don’t always have to dress to impress. It’s okay to put comfort over style. While skinny jeans and high heeled shoes will make you look fab, in the long run they can cause health problems like nerve problems, yeast infections, heart burn, abdominal pain, bad posture, arthritis, hammer toes, bunions and back pain.
