Tiwa Savage, an award-winning Nigerian musician, has been chosen to play at the upcoming coronation of the British monarch, King Charles III, at a historic event at Westminster Abbey.
King Charles III will be enthroned alongside Queen Consort Camilla on May 6, 2023, following the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II.
The coronation ceremony and Big Lunch will take place on May 7, 2023.
Tiwa Savage will sing alongside Steve Winwood, DJ Pete Tong, Lang Lang and Lucy, Paloma Faith, and Olly Murs, making her the first Nigerian artist to be invited to play at a foreign royal coronation ceremony.
She is also one of the few African performers chosen to participate at this historic event.
