Afrobeats queen Tiwa Savage has shared how a Nigerian politician once sent a private jet to pick her up while she was pregnant a gesture she politely declined.
Speaking in a recent interview, the singer was asked about the most extravagant things anyone had ever done for her, and she revealed two unforgettable experiences.

Tiwa explained that after performing at a show with the Mavin crew, a politician arranged for his special assistant and a private plane to fly her out personally. Despite the grand gesture, she chose not to board the jet.

The “Somebody’s Son” hitmaker also recounted how someone gifted her a brand-new Range Rover for her birthday a present she ended up returning.
Interestingly, the gift came on the same day her now ex-husband proposed to her. “I didn’t know that it was going to be presented that same day,” she said, reflecting on the coincidence.
When asked about the “grandest gesture” she’s ever received, Tiwa responded:
“He sent a plane to pick me up while I was pregnant. Obviously, I didn’t go. And someone bought me a Range Rover for my birthday which I returned. It was on the day that my now ex-husband proposed to me. I didn’t know that it was going to be presented…”
