Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress, has been declared the winner of Saturday’s presidential election in Oyo State.
On Monday morning, the electoral body announced this at the state coalition center.
The commission declared Tinubu the winner in all 33 local government areas of the state, with the Peoples Democratic Party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, coming in second.
Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, finished a distant third in the state election.
Prof. Akeem Lasisi, the Independent National Electoral Commission’s State Collation Officer for Saturday’s presidential election in Ekiti State, also announced that the APC candidate received 201,494 votes across the state, defeating candidates from other parties.
Atiku of the Peoples Democratic Party received 89,554 votes, while Peter Obi of the Labour Party received 11,397 votes.
Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigerian Peoples Party received 264 votes.
