Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has stated that if elected in the 2023 presidential election, he will fight insurgency and unemployment.
This was revealed at a mega rally in Kaduna State attended by thousands of APC supporters from the country’s northwest.
The rally was held in Kaduna, Kano, Kebbi, Jigawa Katsina, Sokoto, and Zamfara states for presidential, governorship, senatorial, House of Representatives, and state Assembly candidates.
Tinubu also stated that job opportunities would be provided for the country’s teeming youths, and that he would revitalize agriculture for food security.
“With these, Nigerians will be relaxed as there will be food sufficiency in the country”,
he added.
Tinubu, speaking to supporters from the North-West zone, expressed his dissatisfaction with the insecurity in Kaduna State in particular and Nigeria in general.
He also praised Governor Nasir El-Rufai for the state’s infrastructure development, saying he was relieved to know that the Governor has an experienced successor in Uba Sani, the party’s governorship candidate in the state.
“All those troublemakers, those kidnappers, killers who are troubling the security of Kaduna and Northern Nigeria, I assure you, we will eliminate them.
“El-Rufai has put down legacy in Kaduna State and he has boosted the internally generated revenue. But a leader without a good successor is not a good leader,” he said.
“Uba Sani a young, energetic and honest man, and should be become the next governor of Kaduna State.
“ You should vote all candidates APC, for any elective positions,”
he added.
Earlier, the Party’s national chairman, Abdulllahi Adamu, thanked the people of the state for coming out to support their presidential candidate.
Governors Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna, Abubakar Badaru of Jigawa, Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi, Simon Lalong of Plateau, Aminu Masari of Katsina, and Bello Mohammed Mattawalle of Zamfara were among those in attendance at the rally.
