During the Comptroller General’s parade in Abuja, President Bola Tinubu announced the confirmation of Caroline Wuraola Adepoju as the new Comptroller General (CG) of the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS). Adepoju had previously been acting CG since the expiration of Isah Jere’s tenure on May 29th. She also announced that a date for the decoration ceremony would be announced soon.
The new CG also elevated some top management team members who had taken part in a promotion exam to the ranks of Deputy Comptrollers General, with the date of their decoration to be announced soon. Adepoju also requested that officers observe a minute of silence in honour of those who died in the line of duty and thanked all officers and men for their support. She expressed her gratitude to the top management team, Zonal Coordinators, State Comptrollers and Passport Officers both at home and abroad.
