Ilebaye Odiniya, the winner of the Big Brother Naija All Stars show, recently opened up about her interactions with the cowrie shells she brought into Biggie’s House during the show. The model, originally from Kogi state, made this revelation during an appearance on Pulse’s One On One show, which was hosted by another reality star, Christy O.
Ilebaye disclosed that she carries and speaks with the cowrie shells as a way to keep the memory of her late brother alive. When asked to elaborate on this by Christy O, she confirmed that it was true that she talked to cowries while in the Big Brother house.
“I had something precious to me. Because obviously, you are supposed to have something precious when you’re doing something that you miss at home.
“And the cowries were for my late brother. It has been with me and even the baton. I have a baton on him too. I didn’t know where to keep it. I was just like, Oh! Let me hold something strong.
“It just helps me feel like he [my late brother] is around. He is still with me,” she added.
