The presidential election petition tribunal convenes in Abuja on Monday to hear complaints challenging Bola Tinubu’s victory in the 2023 presidential election.
Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi, representing the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Labour Party (LP) candidates, respectively, are contesting Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the winner of the February 25 presidential election.
Atiku is requesting a new election owing to alleged anomalies at polling stations, while Obi alleges Tinubu did not obtain one-quarter of the votes cast in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Obi also charged Tinubu and his running companion, Kashim Shettima, with being unqualified to run in the election due to electoral malpractice.
