Today, on November 11, 2023, popular Nigerian skitmaker and singer Carter Efe initiated the challenge for the hit song “Oyimo,” sparking widespread discussions online.
As previously reported by Naijalog, “Oyimo” is a nostalgic track by Portable’s former signee, Young Duu. Since its release on November 8, 2023, the song has resonated with music enthusiasts, gaining significant replay value and climbing the Apple Music chart.
Carter Efe, in a promotional post on his verified Instagram page today, announced a challenge for the song. He revealed that a total of $1000 (approximately N1M in Nigerian currency) will be distributed among the top three participants.
According to Carter Efe, the #Oyimochallenge for $1000 aims to gauge people’s true spirituality when expressing gratitude to God, as he emphasizes that the song is of Christian nature.
In a video example, Carter Efe demonstrated the challenge, stating that participants should “roll like a roll-on,” and the best three rollers will receive the $1000 prize. He encouraged participants to tag him and Young Duu in their challenge videos.
