The Lagos State Police respond to a viral video in which an Igbo chief threatens to bring IPOB to Lagos in order to protect their people from goons.
A video circulating on social media depicted threats made by a claimed Eze of Ajao Estate in Lagos, who moaned bitterly over attacks on Igbo-owned businesses.
The Eze claimed that their lives and businesses are no longer safe in Lagos State due to a group disrupting their daily activities.
He then threatened to invite the separatist group Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) for security reasons.

In response to the viral video, the Police Public Relations Officer, Lagos State Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin assured Lagosians to maintain calm.
Hundeyin emphasized that the state’s police would not sit back and watch such unfold.
“To start with, the ever-ready @LagosPoliceNG will never fold its arms and allow such within the state…,” he wrote.
