Hello ladies and welcome to the very first of our beauty Wednesdays. Here I will be your beauty Yoda giving you tips on how to groom yourselves properly and enhance your already flawless beauty :). For most ladies make-up is a very important part of your daily beauty routine and it takes a lot of effort to get just the right look. If you’re like me, then you detest those 15 (or 60) minutes that you have to spend each morning getting all dolled up for the day. Or maybe you’re just one of those who usually cherish that extra morning snooze so much that you end up rolling out of bed at 7:30am when you have a class/meeting for 8am. It’s difficult to get a great look if you’re in any of these situations. That is why today, I have decided that I will show you how to get yourself ready with this 5-step, 5-minute miracle. Grab your make-up purses ladies, and follow my lead.
1. Use a BB or CC cream. BB stands for “beauty balm” while CC stands for “color corrector”. A CC cream is lighter to apply than a BB cream, but for dark-skinned Nigerian ladies may cause an ashy complexion. They moisturize your skin, while giving a cover up and a healthy glow. They also serve as sun protection. Foundation+Concealer+Moisturizer+Sunscreen all in one step!
If you do not have either a BB or a CC cream, you can use a tinted moisturizer, or you can mix in some of your foundation with your moisturizer.

Maybelline BB cream and Bobbi Brown BB Cream with SPF 35.

(If you don’t have any of these, please you shouldn’t be waking up late. Next!)
2.Next apply your bronzer. Apply this to your forehead, the sides of your face and your cheeks to highlight these areas and give you a sculpted look. For this step to give yourself an extra glow, I would recommend using mineral powder with a bronzing effect. Try out FM’s Two Shade Bronzing Effect Mineral Powder.

3. Create a smoky eye. Yeah I know you’re thinking “What is this doing here? That takes a lot of time!” No, not if you follow my instruction. Now take your black liner and line your upper eyelid evenly. Next, use an eye-shadow sponge to smudge it nicely, and voila! You have a smokey eye. 🙂
4. Use mascara, on just your bottom lash. With the eyeliner on your lid, and your bottom lash heavily coated, your eyes will pop nicely. You’re welcome.

5. Give yourself a a bold lip. What better way to finish your look that by giving your lips a pop of color? A bold lip increases the hotness of any look by tons. Mac’s Matte Ruby Woo or Revlon’s Super Lustrous 740 Certainly Red would do the trick.

From top, Maybelline Red Revival 645, Mac Ruby Woo and Revlon Certainly Red 740.

That didn’t take anytime at all, and now you’re good to go. See you next week! 🙂
