The zone of crushed hopes and safe friendship aka the dreaded friendzone. There is a reason it is so dreaded especially among guys though, don’t you doubt for a minute that babes get friendzoned too. Damn! It hurts, yeah I know the feeling but mine was worse, the guy just ‘look-comot- face’ . You don’t know that one? May you never know my dear sister. Well, that one na matter for another day.
Let’s gist on the major victims here. Our male ‘friends/brother’ painfully so because they are usually the most awesome guy you have ever met. You know that guy that you connect with chemistrically, biologically, emotionally, mentally and sometimes even spiritually. You are just in perfect sync, yeah him. The one you conveniently packaged in friendzone because there is something wired in this brain of ours to just save what we see as a good friendship and not take the risk of a relationship because after all relationships bring out flaws and those flaws you don’t want this precious guy seeing. Awwwww. Okay enough ladies! If anyone should see your flaws it should be him, he is your soulmate you know it, so stop the act and don’t make the best thing in your life the one that should have been. Give it a chance at-least, who knows. It might work, it might not but it is worth it. Not all good friends are good relationship mates though so here are a few tips to guide you towards knowing if he is just a friend or you are about to friendzone your knight in shining armour.
1) Do you enjoy his company?
2) Are you surprisingly comfortable around him?
3) Have you ever felt the urge to kiss him before? (Whether you did or didn’t is not important)
4) Do you find yourself making an actual attempt to look sexy for him?
5) Do you like his dreams and ideas?
6) Does he stimulate your mind?
7) Is he the type of guy you would want to marry? (Yeah it is okay to check out a guy in husband light, it just means you have outgrown the ‘playing around’ stage)
If you answered yes to all to all the above questions, better reset and unfriendzone him fast! Don’t ask me how, we know how we do it ladies, don’t we? *winks*
