Terrorists have released a video of the abducted daughters of Abubakar Bello Furfuri, a prominent Zamfara indigene.
The attack on the former state Accountant General’s residence occurred four months ago.
In the viral video, the kidnappers threatened to marry the girls or force them to join the insurgency.
The video shows four girls standing with weapons and ammunition. Three of them were dressed in hijab.
The only one who spoke in tears (Hausa) was identified in a family photo with her siblings and father.
The teenager begged for their lives and urged the authorities to act quickly, but was repeatedly interrupted by one of the bandits.
According to the DAILY POST, the terrorists refused to release the captives despite receiving large sums of money from the family.
The hostages were abducted on the night of June 5 in Furfuri, Bungudu Local Government Area.
Locals revealed that around 20 people were taken, with at least half of them being females.
The intruders fled the village before security personnel dispatched to the area arrived.
