American rapper Curtis James Jackson III, known as 50 Cent, has revealed his favorite song at the moment.
In a clip from an interview that went viral on Tuesday, the hip-hop icon shared that his current favorite track is ‘Me & U’ by Grammy-winning Nigerian singer Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems.
“My current song on repeat is ‘Me & U’ by Tems,” he stated.
‘Me & U’ is the lead single from Tems’ critically acclaimed debut studio album, ‘Born In The Wild.’
The song sparked controversy after it won the Bobby Jones Best Gospel/Inspirational Award at the 2024 BET Awards. Critics argued that a song by a secular artist should not have won the category, especially over gospel legends like Kirk Franklin, Shirley Caesar, CeCe Winans, and Maverick City Music.
