A leading Christian cleric in Ghana has urged the security services not to act on the “back of prophecies” after popular televangelist TB Joshua alleged that Ghana and Nigeria risked “foreign attacks”, Ghana’s Joy FM news sitereports.
However, security agencies should put in place measures at border points to avert any possible attack, said Rev Opuni Frimpong, the general-secretary of the Christian Council of Ghana.
The Nigerian televangelist was quoted as telling members of his Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) on Sunday to pray against the planned “foreign attacks” on the two West African states.
“The attack will come not in a local way. So please open your lips and pray for these two nations for protection,” he is quoted as telling worshippers.
