State of Kwara, Ilorin – According to Mallam Yusuf Adepoju, the head of the Academy of Islamic Propagation (ACADIP), Azeez Adegbola, also referred to as Tani Olohun (Who is God? ), is facing numerous legal proceedings.
Based on the complaints of multiple Muslims, Tani Olohun, a blogger and follower of traditional religion, was detained last week in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo state.

After that, among other offenses, he was placed under remand in a Kwara state correctional facility until October 5. He was accused of defaming many Nigerian Islamic clergy.
The troubled Isese follower first came to the notice of the world in August 2022 when he posted a video of himself burning and tearing up the Holy Qur’an while bragging about it. Muslims criticized Tani Olohun’s “offensive action” at the time, pointing out that it was uncalled for.
Tani Olohun’s popularity was boosted, though, by the recent divide between the predominantly Muslim Ilorin city and the minority Isese followers. The native of Oyo State used his Facebook page to post films in which he engaged Muslims in an online conflict.
Adepoju clarified the cause behind Tani Olohun’s arrest on Sunday, August 20, during a Facebook Live: “Tani Olohun committed crimes, according to the suit the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) filed at the court.

A citizen of Ilorin revealed to Legit.ng that the security personnel prevented a potentially catastrophic situation. If Isese devotees tried to celebrate Isese Day along the Oko Olowo River, he vowed, the people there would use lethal force to attack them.
