Popular entertainers T-Dollar and TobiNation have been sentenced to six months in prison for defacing the Naira.
The sentencing took place on Thursday, May 8, 2025, following their conviction by the Lagos Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). Both artists pleaded guilty to the offense.
Justice Owoeye of the Federal High Court in Ikoyi delivered the verdict, offering each of them the option to pay a ₦200,000 fine in place of serving jail time.
This incident adds to a growing list of Nigerian celebrities facing legal issues related to Naira abuse. Others previously involved include controversial singer Portable, Nollywood star Iyabo Ojo, and comedian AY Makun, who recently spoke out about a similar experience.
