Obed Chekwube Ugwuanyi, also known as MC Sharp, Chinenye Agbo, also known as Star Ella Ada, and Anastasia Onu have all been detained by Enugu State police officers for allegedly beating a young woman named Chinenye.
In the widely circulated video, Chinenye is seen being assaulted, stripped, having her clothes torn, and having her hair forcibly shaved. The trio and other people at large are all engaged.
She was charged with assaulting Obed’s girlfriend Anastasia and biting her on the chest.
However, a statement from the police spokesperson, DSP Daniel Ndukwe, noted that the trio are “claiming that the video, which has generated public outcry and condemnation due to the unbelievable assault, inhuman and degrading treatments meted out on Chinenye as seen in the video, is a prank and meant to garner followers on their social media accounts.”
While denouncing the conduct, Ndukwe continued, “The state commissioner of police, *CP Ahmed Ammani, has ordered the State CID Enugu to thoroughly investigate and prosecute those found culpable, to serve as a deterrent to anyone who may want to perpetrate such an act under the guise of prank.”
