The Super Eagles of Nigeria have moved up three places in the FIFA rankings for the first time this year.
According to the latest rankings released by the football regulating body, the Eagles are now 60th globally and 11th in Africa.
Cote d’Ivoire is currently the best rated African team, followed by Ghana and Algeria respectively.
African champions Zambia are 6th in Africa and 43rd in the world.
Spain are still the number one ranked team in the world followed by South American champions Uruguay who displaced Germany as the second best team.Brazil also moved to fifth while England climbed one spot to sixth.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria moved three places in the FIFA rankings released by the World Football Governing Body. Nigeria is now 60 in the World and 11 in Africa. The move may be connected to Nigeria’s lone goal victory against Namibia in the 2014 World Cup qualifiers. It is also the first time this year that Nigeria is moving up in the rankings.
