American R&B singer Summer Walker has revealed her strong desire to visit Nigeria, expressing excitement and a sense of destiny about the trip. During a recent chat on BBC Radio 1Xtra, the mother of three admitted she’s hesitant to visit because she fears she might not return to the United States once she experiences the country.
“I want to go to Nigeria so bad. But I’m scared because I know I won’t come back. I just want to take my kids and just like, we gone!” she said.
Summer shared that she recently tried African food for the first time and found it incredibly delicious, which only fueled her eagerness to visit. She joked about potentially becoming the third wife of an African king and living in luxury with her children.
“It just seems so fun,” she explained. “I had my first African dish the other day, it was good as heck. I just know I won’t come back. I would be somebody’s third wife. Me and my kids would be put up in some African king’s house. I know it. My nyash is good. I’m prepared. I’m ready. I’ve been waiting for this.”
Walker also disclosed that she had initially planned to celebrate her 29th birthday in Nigeria this past April but had to cancel the trip due to her children falling ill. However, she assured fans that a visit to Nigeria is still on her bucket list and will happen soon.
