Liverpool striker Luis Suarez and Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini were named the Premier League’s player and manager of the month for December respectively.
The Uruguayan’s efforts helped the Reds top the standings on Christmas Day, although they slipped to fifth by New Year’s Eve.
Pellegrini, meanwhile, guided the Citizens to an unbeaten run of six wins from seven games in the voting period, leaving the side within a point of leaders Arsenal.
