Mystery attack on militia positions around Tripoli airport of Libya left the US “caught off guard’ senior officials say.
The attacks were reportedly launched from the Egyptian base by the UAE who refused to comment on the situation as Egyptian government distance themselves from such reports.
The conflict of interests which has seen accusations thrown around with many claiming the Qatar government are supporting militias financially and arming them, while Egypt, Saudi and UAE are with the non existent government says BBC’s Barabara Plett.
It’s a dark situation in Tripoli as Libya’s ambassador to the UN Ibrahim Dabbashi doubts the UAE and Egypt are “technically capable” to carry out the bombings.
