Popular content creator and streamer, Peller, has announced that he has finally selected his preferred candidate for the role of cameraman from the 20 master’s degree holders who applied for the position.
This follows his earlier job posting which stirred controversy after requiring that all applicants possess at least an MSc degree. The interview process, which was streamed live, further sparked public criticism when a female applicant accused Peller of mocking her ethnicity and body size.
In a new video, Peller confirmed that the selection has been made and defended the interview process, stating that all applicants were informed in advance that the session would be broadcast live. He also clarified that his comments during the interview were made in jest.
“I’ve finally chosen the cameraman from the 20 people that came yesterday. As for the girl saying I asked for her tribe and livestreamed it, I was joking, and I told everyone it would be live. I didn’t drag anyone to apply, so stop putting the blame on me….” he said.
Social media reactions:
- @_SammyNas wrote: “Like it or hate it, it’s what it is. Don’t blame the boy, blame the failed system.”
- @SmartBarry3 commented: “I never find this boy funny. He just has rudeness.”
- @jessykigen stated: “I hope he paid those people; otherwise, if there was no signed agreement for them to be filmed and broadcast live, I would sue his ass!”
- @TerryJulianLive added: “Nigeria is a joke! He knows he can play on the dreams of others in a failed society. I hope those kids save money and just Japa to a country that can use them!”
