Popular Nigerian TikTok star Jarvis has come to the defense of her former partner and colleague, Peller, dismissing claims that he is illiterate. During a recent livestream where she also discussed her meeting with IShowSpeed she clarified that Peller actually holds a West African Examination Council (WAEC) certificate.
Not Illiterate, Just Different Paths
Jarvis, whose real name is Anokwute Jarvie Antoinette, emphasized the difference between being uneducated and simply not acquiring a university degree. She used the opportunity to share her own academic struggles, revealing that her university education was disrupted during her third year (300 level) due to the pressures and attacks that came with her sudden rise to fame.
She stated:
”It was in 300 level I walked into fame. They attacked me. Not everybody had the opportunity. So, stop saying that he’s uneducated”
Context: The Breakup and the Crash
This defense follows Peller’s recent confirmation that their romantic relationship has ended, with both parties agreeing to remain friends to focus on personal growth in 2026. The breakup appeared to take a heavy toll on Peller, culminating in a dramatic incident on December 14, 2025. The streamer crashed his Mercedes Benz on the Lekki-Epe Expressway while live-streaming in a distressed state, leading to his hospitalization and subsequent arrest by the Lagos Police.
