Nigerian singer Oludipe David, popularly known as Spyro, has revealed that someone attempted to blackmail him by threatening to leak an alleged sex tape.
Sharing his frustration in a series of Instagram story posts on Tuesday, Spyro claimed that the blackmail attempt came after he confronted the individual over their misconduct.
He further alleged that the person involved is deeply religious, stating that some of the worst liars and scammers hide behind religion. According to him, such individuals use their supposed spirituality as a cover to commit and justify wrongdoing.
He stated, “Don’t be deceived, the biggest scams and liars are the ones at the top of religious ladders. They perpetrate evil and quote holy books to support their wrongs and then the emotional games and then threats. The deception is on another level.
“I once called someone out for wrongdoing me, next day, the person started confessing scriptures and in the same vein, sending threat messages about releasing sex tapes as how they have a girl claiming she’s pregnant for me…”
