Asake, the Afrobeats sensation formally known as Ahmed Ololade, has once again made his way to Saudi Arabia, as seen in recent videos circulating on social media. This latest trip comes during the sacred month of Ramadan, marking the singer’s second visit to the Middle East in just a few short weeks.
Early on Thursday, March 12, the “Lonely At The Top” star shared several clips documenting his departure from Nigeria. His return to the region follows a previous exit on February 28, 2026, which occurred during a period of heightened international tension involving the U.S., Israel, and Iran.
The timing of his arrival appears to be deeply spiritual, coinciding with the final ten days of Ramadan. This specific period is highly revered by Muslims for Laylat al-Qadr (the Night of Power). Footage from the airport shows Asake dressed in ihram attire, the traditional white garments worn by pilgrims, suggesting he is there to perform Umrah.
Umrah is a voluntary but sacred pilgrimage to Makkah that can be undertaken at any time of the year. The process involves entering a state of spiritual purity, performing the Tawaf around the Kaaba, and the Sa’i walk between the hills of Safa and Marwa. The journey traditionally concludes with a symbolic trimming or shaving of the hair.
Fans have taken to social media to commend the singer for his commitment to his faith, especially given the current geopolitical climate in the region.
