Nigerian rapper Speed Darlington, also known as Akpi, has spoken out for the first time following his release from police custody.
As reported by NAIJALOG, Darlington was arrested days ago after making defamatory remarks about fellow artist Burna Boy. The arrest followed a viral video in which Darlington questioned the legitimacy of Burna Boy’s Grammy win and linked him to American singer Diddy.
Now, after his release, Darlington took to social media to mock Burna Boy, stating in a video that “it takes 30 million to carry me.”
He also said, “EFCC dey give bed, DSS dey give food. I don survive ground zero, what can you do to me next? If I go missing, na you, if you go missing, no be me.”
The video was captioned: “Big fish; it takes 30 million to carry me.”
