Spanish Coach, Vicente del Bosque’s has released a 23-man list of players for the Euro 2012 games to be co-hosted by Ukraine and Poland.
A surprise name on the list is that of Chelsea’s Fernando Torres who had a lackluster season and has failed to live up to expectations since moving from Liverpool to Chelsea.
Players who wouldn’t be wearing the Spanish jersey at the games include, Roberto Soldado, Barcelona defender ,Carlos Puyol due to knee injury, out-of-favour Carlos Marchena and Joan Capdevila.
Another name conspicuously absent from the list is that of Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea who failed to make the cut despite being included in a provisional squad.
