Omoyele Sowore, former African Action Congress (AAC) presidential candidate, has called for an urgent reset of Nigeria’s judiciary system, expressing optimism that Nigerians are now aligned with this need.
Taking to his X handle, Sowore likened the current sentiment towards the judiciary to the protests against police brutality during the #EndSARS movement, predicting a similar outcry.
He wrote:
“What Chief Afe Babalola & his powerful friends haven’t understood is the same way Nigeria Police Force didn’t see #EndSARS coming. Nigerians have come to the irrefutable conclusion that the Nigerian judiciary is NOW ready for a reset!”
Sowore emphasized that the dissatisfaction among Nigerians has reached a tipping point, signaling an inevitable demand for justice reform.
