South African President Cyril Ramaphosa has announced significant changes to visa regulations for Nigerians, aimed at simplifying travel for tourists and businesspeople.
Speaking at the 11th session of the Nigeria-South Africa Bi-National Commission (BNC) in Cape Town, which Nigerian President Bola Tinubu also attended, Ramaphosa highlighted measures to facilitate easier travel, including the introduction of five-year multiple-entry visas for eligible Nigerian business travelers.
“Our simplified visa process will enable Nigerian businesspeople to travel to South Africa more easily. Qualifying applicants can now secure a five-year multiple-entry visa,” Ramaphosa said.
The South African leader also emphasized the importance of removing barriers to investment and improving business relations between the two countries, noting that South Africa has been home to many Nigerian businesses and vice versa.
“As we celebrate 30 years of diplomatic relations, we envision a brighter future for our partnership, grounded in strong bonds
