The South African Football Association (SAFA) has refuted media claims that they have hired , Stephen Keshi, as coach of the Bafana Bafana.
An email sent to us by, Dominic Chimhavi, SAFA HOD: Communications stated that ” Keshi’s appointment is devoid of any truth as SAFA will only make the decision on the appointment of the new coach mid-July.”
“Yes, Keshi’s name has been bandied along, together with various other names, by the media but SAFA has not yet arrived at any decision regarding the coach to replace Gordon Igesund whose tenure will not be extended when it ends in August, “he wrote further.
SAFA President, Dr Danny Jordan also corroborated this saying a decision regarding the appointment of the new Senior Men’s National Coach will be reached.
