You don’t see Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde posting make-up free photos everyday on social media but desperate times, they say, call for desperate measures.
The Nollywood actress has lent her voice to the petition against the ongoing abduction crisis and bombings Nigeria has faced in the last few weeks.
She posted the above photo on Instagram and wrote:
‘Good morning friends. Woke up with so much on my mind. Where do I start, there is so much they are not telling you… So much politicking with people’s lives and destinies. What a wicked world. There is no more time for fake “I belong” behaviours. This is war! War on our freedom and sanity. Now’s the time to think selfless and act. We are not fighting aliens, humanity is at war with itself! Power, money, fame… Greed. If you won’t fight for yourself, fight for your loved ones! #stopthebloodshed. #findthegirls. #regainourhumanity #regainourpride.‘
234 school girls were reportedly abducted from a Government Secondary School in Chibok, Borno State, three weeks ago, and Nigerian and foreign celebrities and citizens have been campaigning for their release.
Omotola is one of the many Nigerian celebs who have condemned Boko Haram’s actions as well as the Nigerian Government’s apparent inability to handle the mess.
