An explosion in an area of Kenya’s capital Nairobi populated by Somalians have killed six people and wounded several others on Monday.
According to the National Disaster Operations Centre there was no immediate claim of responsibility while the police are already securing the site.
Reports states that, In the past, such attacks in the Eastleigh area of Nairobi have been blamed on Somalia’s al-Shabaab Islamist group, which attacked a Nairobi shopping mall in September and killed at least 67 people.
Presently, Nine people have been confirmed to have sustained various injuries.
Nairobi’s police commander Benson Kibui who confirmed the incident said it may have involved twin blasts.
