Nigerian singer Deborah Oluwaseyi Joshua, popularly known as Seyi Shay, has revealed that she was once a member of the Illuminati, a secret society often linked to fame and power in the entertainment industry.
The confession, made during her appearance on the OffAir Podcast with Gbemi and Toolz, has sparked widespread debate and mixed reactions across social media.
In the interview, the Yolo Yolo crooner stated:
“That’s when I was in the Illuminati. That’s when I joined the Illuminati. That’s when it was official. Do you understand? I was an Illuminati member.”
Seyi Shay further noted that while fans might not recognize such affiliations, insiders in the music industry are often aware of those connected to the group.
Her revelation has drawn skepticism from some netizens who questioned the authenticity of her claim, arguing that her career does not reflect the fame and fortune typically associated with alleged Illuminati members.
The singer’s statement has since ignited conversations about secret societies in entertainment and their perceived influence.
