Nigeria are one of the five top seeds for next week’s draw for the final World Cup playoffs after they ranked in the top five African teams still in the competition.
The African champions are ranked fourth best team in Africa in the latest FIFA Rankings released today by the world football governing body.
They have recorded 707 points and dropped to 36th place on the global ranking.
