In a bid to ensure that Mobile service providers improve on service delivery, the  Chairman of the Senate committee on Communications , Senator Gil Emeka Nnajihas issued  a stern warning to the Global System for Mobile Telecommunications companies operating in Nigeria to either measure up or leave the country.

He said this in a statement made available to newsmen by his publicity secretary Egbo Mon-Charles.

 

In the statement Mr. Nnaji said that the Senate is ready to put in place  all  necessary legislative provisions to ensure that the GSM service providers in Nigeria do not take for granted  what the masses face in terms of poor network and rural phone coverage,  emphasizing that if the network providers continue in their old ways, they may be kicked out of the country.

 

The NCC boss, Dr. Eugene Juwah, in his presentation disclosed that NCC had been supported by the Federal Capital Territory Administration for adequate provision of  more telecommunication tower sites in Abuja in order to ensure a steadily service supply to the FCT, the statement further disclosed.
