A 22-year-old man has committed suicide after a co-tenant accused him of stealing 2,000 pounds.
The deceased who until his death lived at Corper Estate Abuja, worked as a security man within the same estate.
Eyewitness account said that the tenant based on amateur investigation confronted and identified the dead man popularly known as Solo as the culprit who stole his money.
When confronted, Solo denied stealing the money, and he was not perturbed by the threats of the owner of the missing money to get him arrested.
According to a security who aslo works in the estate, Solo vehemently professed his innoncence and did not look disturbed, but was embittered that he had been wrongly accussed.
According to Julius “ I have never seen Solo in that mood before, however, his anger subsided after we started chatting outside the gate, suddenly he went inside and later came outside with N200, asking me to get call card for him from a nearby vendor, that he got his airtime exhausted while talking to some relatives. I went and got him the call card, and waited outside for him to join me, but he never did. When my brother came out and was looking for him, we had to go to his door, and when we looked through the window, we discovered he was standing, but was not moving. That was when we forced the door open and found him dead with a big rope coiled round his neck.”

A resident in the area, Mr Rabiu, who knew the deceased very well however affirmed that Solo took the missing money, saying that the people whom Solo allegedly gave the money to for safe-keep have admitted that the late Solo did give them 2,000 pounds.
The Police are already working assiduously to unravel the mystery.
