Kaduna Islamic cleric, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, has claimed that the recent surge in school kidnappings is a coordinated effort to push what he describes as an “unpatriotic narration of Christian genocide.”
In a statement shared on his verified Facebook page, Gumi noted that the wave of abductions is impacting children across different religions.
According to him, “The recent increase in spate of school children kidnappings are engineered to serve an unpatriotic narration of ‘Christian genocide’, and sadly for all, also Muslim children are kidnapped.”
Gumi warned that Nigeria’s security challenges continue to deteriorate, adding that “Insecurity in Nigeria is a burning candle, it will burn out Allah’s willing.”
